Ovulidae (Gastropoda: Cypraeoidea), opmerkelijk en onopvallend

Ovulidae can be found in every tropical sea and even in some temperate waters. A striking feature of these snails is that they have developed multiple different defense strategies against potential predators. This seems to be unique within a single family of marine snails. Herein a brief introduction of the interactions between Ovulidae and their gorgonian and soft coral hosts is mentioned.
