Het Banjaardstrand van Noord-Beveland

Over the past 33 years the author has collected fossil seashells on the beaches of the province of Zeeland. His favourite beach for this quest is Banjaard beach on Noord Beveland. Possibly thanks to the locally very strong current, after favourable winds this site may yield large amounts of fossil gastropod shells, usually originating from artificial sand supplies. Also five species new to the Dutch fossil gastropod fauna were collected on Banjaard beach.
