Nieuw in Noord-Brabant: de Zegge-korfslak Vertigo moulinsiana (Dupuy, 1849)

In the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant for the first time Desmoulin’s whorlsnail Vertigo moulinsiana (Dupuy, 1849) was discovered. After the first observation more nature reserves were explored and in two more places the species was encountered as well. The authors suppose the three localities not to represent new establishment of the species, but rather to reflect expansion of relict populations, thanks to improved ecological management and perhaps climate change.
