On 10 March 2005, a Peregrine chases a Common Buzzard Buteo buteo away from its dying prey, a Coot Fulica atra. The Buzzard remains nearby but is again chased away by the Peregrine, this time calling while stooping. It then returns to the dead Coot, and starts eating titbits after some 15 minutes. The Buzzard flying past does not elicit another reaction. After a short while the Peregrine abondons the prey and leaves.
