Publicity concerning honeybee “Colony Collapse Disorder” in Holland has lead to the creation of a foundation, the “Bijenstichting” and to the renewed study of the importance of wild bees for Dutch agriculture. The goals, structure, activities and website of the new foundation are discussed.
