Scrutinizing samples of shell grit from the beach of La Escala, NE Spain, June 2002, the authors found representatives of many relatively small species of Veneroida. A list is presented of the families Galeommatidae, Kelliidae, Lasaeidae, Leptonidae & Montacutidae, with the numbers of valves found and references to literature sources with figures. The systematics and nomenclature of the CLEMAM are followed.
