Fossil molluscs are reported from 14 residues collected at various localities on Texel (The Netherlands). Some 35 marine species that are not known from the ‘clayballfauna’ reported by Wesselingh et al (this issue) are recorded. It cannot be ruled out, however, that some of these species are not of an Eemien (Late Pleistocene), but rather of a Holocene age.
