Information is given concerning the presence of Diodora funiculata (Reeve, 1850) along the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Since it is not clear that this Indo-Pacific species lives in the Red Sea, it most probably reached the Mediterranean Sea by means of sea going vessels from somewhere in the northern Indian Ocean, more particularly the Arabian Gulf.
